We’re thrilled to share that Brent CLT awarded £40k from Community Led Housing London, marking an exciting step forward in our mission to deliver truly affordable, community-led homes in Brent.
The £40,000 grant will play a vital role in laying strong foundations for our future. With this funding, Brent CLT will focus on establishing a robust governance structure, developing an inclusive community outreach programme, and growing our membership. These efforts are essential to ensuring that our work remains led by and accountable to the people of Brent.
Being Brent CLT awarded £40k means we can now accelerate the development of proposals for a dedicated site, pushing forward our vision of creating secure, sustainable homes shaped by local needs and voices. This investment is not just financial—it’s a vote of confidence in our approach to putting residents at the heart of housing decisions.
Over the coming months, we’ll be using the grant to build stronger community ties, host workshops and events, and engage new members who share our passion for housing justice in Brent. We’re committed to transparency and collaboration at every stage, and we’ll be sharing updates on our progress as we move ahead.
We’re excited about what this funding allows us to achieve and grateful for the support from Community Led Housing London. Stay tuned for more news as Brent CLT awarded £40k continues to open new doors for community-driven development in Brent.
Brent Community Land Trust (Brent CLT) is inviting local residents to join the Brent CLT Community Panel, a new initiative that places local voices at the heart of affordable housing development in the borough. As a community-led organisation, Brent CLT believes that involving residents in every step of the journey is essential to creating homes that truly reflect local needs and aspirations.
The Brent CLT Community Panel is being set up with the support of Community Regen, who are working closely with the Brent CLT Board to recruit a diverse and enthusiastic group of local people. We’re looking for residents from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and professions—people who reflect the richness of Brent’s community and are passionate about shaping its future.
Panel members will act as a vital bridge between the community and the Brent CLT Board. Your role will include supporting engagement efforts, informing decision-making, and ensuring that local voices remain central to how new homes are planned and delivered. You don’t need any previous experience—just a commitment to your community and a willingness to get involved.
By joining the Brent CLT Community Panel, you’ll be part of a unique effort to rethink how housing is developed. You’ll have a chance to influence key decisions, share your perspective, and contribute to a long-term vision for community-owned homes in Brent.
We’d love to hear from you! If you’re interested in joining or would like to learn more, please get in touch with us today.
