The Brenfield Road Scheme has taken a significant step forward. In April 2025, Brent Council’s Cabinet approved an extension for Brent CLT to continue developing its plans until March 2026. This extension reflects growing confidence in the project’s community-driven vision and its potential to deliver long-term impact.

Queens Park Day 2024 was a fantastic opportunity for Brent Community Land Trust to engage directly with local residents. The event was filled with vibrant energy, meaningful conversations, and a true sense of community spirit. It was a joy to be part of such a lively atmosphere, surrounded by local groups, families, food stalls, and creative displays.

For us, Queens Park Day wasn’t just about visibility—it was about connection. We loved meeting people face to face, sharing the mission of Brent CLT, and hearing honest stories about housing challenges and hopes across the borough. These conversations are at the heart of our work, helping us understand what truly matters to the communities we serve.

We were especially delighted to welcome new members into Brent CLT during the event. Engaging with future supporters and collaborators is essential as we grow our reach and impact. Queens Park Day gave us a chance to explain what community-led housing means and how people can actively participate in shaping fairer, more affordable solutions for Brent.

The very first Brent CLT Supper Club took place on 30 July 2024 at the welcoming Rumi’s Kitchen in Harlesden—and it was a wonderful success. Despite going head-to-head with the Olympic gymnastics final, we enjoyed a warm turnout and an evening filled with delicious food, lively discussion, and community spirit.

Brent CLT was honoured to be invited to the official opening of the newly refurbished Brent Crisis Skylight Building, located in the vibrant heart of Harlesden, NW10. This modernised facility marks a significant step forward in the shared effort to support people experiencing homelessness in the borough.

The Brent Crisis Skylight Building represents a renewed commitment to providing essential services and personalised support to the Brent community. Crisis has been operating in the area since 2016 and, more broadly, delivering vital services across London for over five decades. Their holistic approach includes tailored advice, accredited learning opportunities, and one-to-one coaching that guides individuals out of homelessness and towards long-term, stable housing. In the past year alone, more than 1,500 people in Brent have accessed these life-changing services.

The reopening of the Brent Crisis Skylight Building gave attendees a chance to celebrate progress made and to reflect on the journey still ahead. It served as a timely reminder that ending homelessness requires sustained collaboration, innovation, and a shared sense of purpose across organisations.

For Brent CLT, the event was also an excellent platform to connect with local partners and raise awareness about our own mission—developing community-led housing that is affordable, sustainable, and truly rooted in local needs. We were able to exchange ideas, share updates about the Brent CLT project, and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Looking Ahead Together

The event underlined how much has already been achieved—and how much more is possible when we work together. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with Crisis and all our partners to build a Brent where everyone has a safe place to call home.

Brent CLT is proud to announce that it has received first-stage approval from Brent Council to explore a new community-led housing project at the Brentfield Road site for new homes in Stonebridge. This marks a key milestone in the journey to deliver genuinely affordable, resident-led housing for local people.

The Brentfield Road site for new homes includes a disused parking area and eight derelict garages. If granted planning permission, this underused space will be transformed into much-needed homes for Brent residents, offering a powerful example of how small urban sites can support community-driven regeneration.
